I noticed that all my best sellers are especially my square format matte paintings.
Thus I decided to add another piece to my gallery planning a 1x1 composition but my plate this time was a portrait mode landscape
After some painting and cloning I got to have a square image where I started to compose and create the sequel of one of my favourite works
you can find hereThis time I wanted to make something less dramatic, without strong shadows or sinister scenes. Therefore I tried to keep the tones into mid range values, trying to pay attention to details and the depth of the image. Dramatic scene are way easier to make since strong shadows and dark areas "hide" all the details - better say that they keep you from painting or mapping them!
